It is an honour to have our project Victorian Terrace project in Peckham featured in the February 2024 edition of The English Home, a magazine celebrating the essence of classic, enduring British interiors.

This South East London project involved the considered renovation of a traditional Victorian terrace, balancing its period charm with a more open, contemporary way of living. Kinder Design’s approach was to work sensitively with the architecture -preserving original features where possible while introducing a softer, lighter palette to enhance the flow of natural light through the home.

Magazine spread featuring a kitchen and living room. Brown decor, white countertops, wood cabinets, fireplace, red armchair. Text: Brown Creative Combinations.

Magazine spread with elegant interiors: a living room with abstract art, a green bathtub in a bathroom, and a cozy sitting area with natural tones.

Magazine spread with four home decor images: kitchen, spiral staircase, cozy bedroom, and bright yellow armchair. Text describes design ideas.

Magazine spread showing a living room with orange walls and a cozy sofa, and a modern kitchen with purple cabinets and decorative items.

Natural materials, layered textures and carefully curated colour moments define the spaces. From the calm living areas to the quietly luxurious bathrooms, every room was designed to feel timeless, welcoming and deeply personal to the family who live there.

Featured by The English Home, the Victorian Terrace project is recognised for its blend of historic character and quiet reinvention - principles at the heart of Kinder Design’s ethos. As an interior design studio, we specialise in creating homes that respect their past while thoughtfully adapting to the needs of contemporary living.
