Beige book cover with a white window design. Bold blue text reads "HOUSE LONDON." Authors' names, Ellie and Anna Stathaki, below.

We are proud to have our Gin Distillery project in Whitechapel featured in House London (2022), a publication that captures the diversity and creativity of residential design across the capital.

The project - a conversion of a former Victorian gin distillery - reflects Kinder Design’s approach to transforming historically industrial spaces into homes that feel layered, refined and deeply personal. Working with the building’s original bones -exposed brick, steel beams and vaulted ceilings - we introduced a softer, more tactile interior palette designed to bring warmth and liveability to the robust structure.

Magazine spread shows a stylish living room with striped chair, green sofa, and plants. Right page has text titled "Gin Distillery."

Open book with photos of modern interiors featuring a cozy living room, stairway, and bathroom. Text reads: “We have the most amazing light…”

Timber joinery, muted plaster tones and a considered blend of contemporary and vintage pieces create a home that feels grounded in its past but completely tailored to modern life. Kinder Design brings a sensitivity to context and character that is evident throughout the Gin Distillery.

Being featured in House London underscores our commitment to creating thoughtful, expressive interiors that evolve from the story of the building itself.
