Elegant adjoining living room featuring a deep blue velvet sofa, linen floor-length curtains, white French doors, abstract artwork, and a mix of playful soft furnishings — a calm, contemporary contrast to the bolder tones next door in this colourful London home.

We’ve been keeping this one under wraps… but we’re finally allowed to share some exciting news!

Our colourful Peckham project has just been photographed by the House Beautiful magazine team - ready to be featured in an editorial spread coming out next Spring. It was such a proud moment seeing the home come to life behind the camera, and we’re delighted it’ll soon be shared more widely.

This project holds a special place in our hearts - not only because it was one of our first major London commissions, but because of the way it balances colour, classic detailing and creative expression.

Two Living Rooms, Two Personalities

At the heart of the home sit two adjoining front reception rooms. Despite being neighbours, we intentionally gave each space a distinct mood and purpose. One is elegant and calm, a place to read and unwind. The other is rich and saturated, layered with warmth and depth — a room that comes alive at night.

Designing these spaces side by side was a rewarding challenge in contrasts: creating cohesion, but allowing for individuality. We used colour and texture to subtly define the personalities of each room while ensuring the whole home still felt harmonious.

Bright bay window in a front living room with rich mustard-coloured walls, white plantation shutters, a neutral jute rug, sculptural white ceiling light, soft grey sofa, and a rustic wooden bench with cushions — a warm and modern take on a classic Victorian space in Peckham.

A Home That Grows With Its Owner

Since the initial renovation a few years ago, our client has continued to add art, objects and furniture that reflect his evolving taste. It’s a joy to see the space being truly lived in - and we always say the best homes are the ones that continue to grow over time.

That’s part of the beauty of slow, thoughtful design: it creates a strong foundation for a home to evolve. And when clients feel empowered to add their own layers - a vintage lamp here, a framed print there - that’s when the space really starts to sing.

Classic, Contemporary, and Colourful

This home was all about balance: old and new, structured and playful, expressive and practical. As interior designers in South East London, we love when a project allows us to push colour and texture, while still staying grounded in function and flow.

We worked closely with the client to ensure every piece, from paint colours to furniture scale, felt like it belonged. And seeing it now, styled beautifully by @alexdallison and shot through the lens of @leodavut, we couldn’t be happier with how it all came together.

Keep an eye out for the House Beautiful feature in Spring 2026, we’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes soon.

And if you’re dreaming of a bold, personal, beautifully layered home of your own - get in touch. We’d love to help bring it to life!
