"Magazine cover of 25 Beautiful Homes May 2023 with a bright, cozy interior. Text: Reinvent your home. Features: design ideas, styles."

We are delighted to see our Victorian Terrace project in Brockley featured in the May 2023 edition of 25 Beautiful Homes, a magazine that showcases some of the UK's most characterful and uplifting interiors. This South East London home reflects Kinder Design’s approach to balancing historical detail with contemporary liveability. The renovation focused on restoring the building’s Victorian charm while introducing lighter finishes, layered textures and a sense of relaxed, understated warmth.

Bright, cozy living room with a patterned ottoman, plants, books, and decorative cushions. Large windows allow natural light. Text reads "A place for everything."

Bright room with large windows, green beanbag, leafy cushions, a potted plant. Text on wall: "I LIKE IT. WHAT IS IT?" May 2023 magazine.

Modern living room with a blue sofa, patterned rug, and wooden sideboard. Large window views, open space, and shelves with books and decor.

Modern kitchen with white cabinets, wood accents, a round window, art prints, and books on a shelf. Text: "Going bespoke..." Also, design tips.

Bedroom with white bed, red and pink cushions, a blue blanket, framed plant art, and natural light. Adjacent is a cozy study with wooden shelves.

Working closely with the existing architecture, we softened the formal proportions of the rooms with a muted palette, tactile materials and careful zoning, creating a series of inviting, light-filled spaces. Every element - from bespoke joinery to curated furniture selections - was designed to feel both timeless and personal to the family who lives there.

Featured by 25 Beautiful Homes, the project captures the essence of Kinder Design’s philosophy: to create homes that feel quietly confident, deeply comfortable, and rooted in their context. As an interior design studio based in South East London, we take pride in crafting spaces that evolve naturally from the stories of the buildings and the people who inhabit them.
