New Build, Crystal Palace

Our objective was to create a fresh, modern show home design for our developer client that would appeal to a young creative family looking to buy their first home.

“Leo’s design a was fun yet considered response to the brief.  Leo was inspiring in her ideas and reliable in her delivery, and we have been very pleased with the results.”

I worked in collaboration with Sarah Bagner of Supermarket Sarah on this project for property developers Brick by Brick. We researched and sourced an eclectic range of furniture and used intelligent styling to create a functional show flat with bags of character. Crystal Palace is an area renowned for its vintage furniture and design shops, so we bought locally as far as possible.

We designed one of the two bedrooms as a toddler’s room whilst the rest of the flat and second bedroom imagined a child-free environment. This approach ensured all families and couples with or without children could easily imagine themselves using the living spaces without feeling in any way alienated.

To add even more value to the project, we sourced a large selection of vintage pieces and high street furniture using platforms such as Vinterior and Ebay, as well as charity shops and Portobello Market which we like to think is a testament to our resourcefulness and most importantly helped to keep the budget down.
